My Whiskey Sour is a classic bourbon cocktail with a balance of sweet and sour flavors from fresh lemon juice and homemade simple syrup.

A Whiskey Sour is a popular Drink that you’ll find on any cocktail menu thanks to its simplicity and delicious flavor. Love sweet and sour but not so much whiskey? Try my Gimlet and Daiquiri instead.

Sabrina’s Whiskey Sour Recipe

If you aren’t usually a big whiskey drinker, this sweet-tart drink might be the one to change your mind! It definitely has a sour taste, but the simple syrup adds just the right amount of sweetness, while the bourbon brings its own rich, smooth flavors to the mix to make a deliciously well-balanced cocktail. I make my simple syrup homemade because it’s so easy and costs almost nothing. Just make sure to plan enough time for it to cool to room temperature. Top your Whiskey Sour with fancy Luxardo cherries and orange slices to elevate it from a classic bar drink to an elegant aperitif for a dinner party.
