Sabrina’s Beef Yakiniku Recipe

Yakiniku is a classic Japanese appetizer of meat grilled on bamboo skewers. In this version I use chuck roast and marinate it for a couple of hours for extra tender, juicy meat full of an authentic Asian flavor. The marinade has mostly basic ingredients like soy sauce, lime, ginger, garlic, and brown sugar. You do need some sesame seeds and sesame oil, but you only need a little bit plus they have a long shelf life so you’ll have plenty to use in future recipes. Chuck is also a less expensive cut of beef so this is a great budget recipe that feels fancy and new but won’t break the bank!
