With a few simple ingredients, you can create a delicious and satisfying meal in minutes. And if you have an oven-safe skillet, you don’t even have to dirty another pan. No wonder busy home cooks love this recipe so much.

Ingredients
 

  • 1 pound ground beef , (85/15)
  • 1/2 yellow onion , diced
  • 2 cloves garlic , minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese , shredded (divided)
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup Bisquick baking mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup bacon , cooked and chopped
  • 1 cup iceberg lettuce , shredded
  • 2 vine tomatoes , chopped

Instructions

  • Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees and spray a 9” pie plate with baking spray.
  • In a large skillet on medium high heat add the ground beef, onion, garlic, salt and pepper.
  • Cook, stirring occasionally, for 6-8 minutes until browned well.
  • Drain any excess grease, then pour meat mixture into the pie plate.
  • Top with 1 cup shredded cheese.
  • In a mixing bowl whisk together milk, bisquick and eggs until well combined.
  • Pour over beef and cheese mixture.
  • Top with remaining cheese.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Top with crumbled bacon and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Top with shredded iceberg lettuce and chopped tomatoes when serving.
