Ingredients

  • 3 cups quick oats
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup crunchy peanut butter
  • 3 bananas , ripe

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • To your stand mixer add the oats, whole wheat flour, peanut butter and bananas.
  • Start on low speed then raise to medium and beat for 2-3 minutes until well blended and the oats have broken down a bit.
  • Remove dough to a floured surface.
  • Knead into a ball, then flour the surface again
  • Using a floured rolling pin, roll the dough 1/2" thick.
  • Cut out with cookie cutter shapes. We use a small bone shape.
  • Place on the baking sheets 1″ apart.
  • Bake for 15-18 minutes or until they just start to brown.
  • Let cool completely before serving.

Notes

The safest peanut butter for dogs has a simple ingredient list. Ideally only containing peanuts with no added salt, sugar, or oils. Avoid all peanut butters with xylitol, as this is highly toxic to dogs.
