Sabrina’s Irish Slammer Recipe

By making this drink at home, you can enjoy the popular beer shot with your friends without going out to a sports bar. Although I wouldn’t recommend drinking this strong cocktail frequently, it’s great for getting the party started and making a memorable evening with friends. The novelty alone of dropping a shot in a beer makes this a super fun cocktail. Recreate the full bar experience with favorite pub snacks like Fried Pickles, Buffalo Wings, or Onion Rings.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 ounce Irish whiskey
  • 1/2 ounce Baileys Irish cream
  • 12 ounces Guinness beer

Instructions

  • Layer the Irish whisky first into the shot glass and carefully pour Bailey’s onto the top of the Irish whiskey using the back of a spoon.
  • Add Guinness beer to a pint glass (use a 16 ounce glass so the cup is not too full).
  • When ready to serve, drop the shot glass into the pint glass and chug immediately and as fast as possible.
  • Note: the longer it takes to drink the more the drink can/will curdle from the Irish cream mixing with the beer.
