Sabrina’s Buffalo Cauliflower Recipe

This recipe for Buffalo Cauliflower Bites is completely made from scratch including a homemade Buffalo Sauce, and served with a homemade Blue Cheese Dressing. Don’t fret, if you want to make this recipe in a pinch, store bought sauce and dressing will work just fine. Swap in these cauliflower bites wherever you would use buffalo chicken.

Ingredients
 

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cups club soda , chilled
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 head cauliflower , trimmed and cut into florets
  • 3/4 cup Buffalo sauce

To Serve:

  • 1 cup Blue Cheese Dressing
  • 2 carrots , peeled and cut into sticks
  • 3 stalks celery , cut into sticks

Instructions

  • Heat a pot of oil to 375 degrees, at least 3 inches high.
  • Mix together the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, onion powder, garlic powder and white pepper.
  • Dredge the cauliflower in it and dust off the excess amount.
  • Whisk the club soda into the flour mixture then dip the cauliflower into it and fry them immediately until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Toss Buffalo sauce gently with the freshly fried cauliflower before serving.
  • Serve with blue cheese dressing, carrots and celery.
