The next time you’re craving homemade pizza but don’t want to make Pizza Dough from scratch or use a frozen crust, try this delicious, crisp French Bread Pizza. French bread makes an easy and delicious base for your favorite pizza toppings, and comes together so quickly. You can use the dish as a main course the same way you would with regular pizza, or cut it into smaller pieces and serve it as a party appetizer with ranch dip.

Ingredients
 

  • 1 large French bread loaf
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes , optional
  • 3/4 cup Pizza sauce , Recipe
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices
  • 2 tablespoons parsley , finely minced

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Cut the French bread in half horizontally and separate into 2 pieces.
  • Cut each half of the loaf into two pieces, cutting through the middle horizontally.
  • Mix the olive oil, Italian seasoning, garlic salt and red pepper flakes (if using) then brush it onto the bread.
  • Spread pizza sauce evenly across the French bread.
  • Top the bread with the mozzarella cheese, pepperoni and parmesan cheese and bake until crispy, about 15-18 minutes.
  • Garnish with parsley.
