This is a great recipe if you want a crowd-pleasing treat that you don’t need to use the oven for. You can prep this Peanut Butter Candy recipe in just a few minutes in the microwave. Make sure to plan ahead so that you have enough time to chill the candy, but it’s quick and easy, and perfect for parties and holidays. 

Peanut Butter Candy Recipe

Ingredients
 

  • 1 teaspoon vegetable shortening
  • 20 ounces white chocolate candy coating discs , finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups peanut butter
  • 3/4 cups dry roasted peanuts , finely chopped

Instructions

  • Line an 8×8 baking dish with parchment paper and spray with vegetable oil spray.
  • In a large glass bowl add vegetable shortening, white candy discs and peanut butter.
  • Stir well.
  • Microwave on 50% power in 30 second increments, stirring each time, until completely melted.
  • Add half the peanuts to the bottom of the baking dish.
  • Top with melted peanut butter and white chocolate mixture, spread evenly.
  • Top with remaining chopped peanuts and press down gently.
  • Cover and let cool to room temperature for 2 hours, placing baking pan on a cooling rack.
  • Cut into 2″ squares.
