Sabrina’s Maple Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Bacon Recipe
This combination of sweet maple and extra crispy bacon is usually used in breakfast dishes. But by adding them to a vegetable side dish makes them an incredible addition. This maple bacon version might be a bit more than you want for an everyday family meal, but it’s great for special occasions. Ingredients
- 1 pound Brussels sprouts , trimmed and halved
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter , melted
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 6 slices bacon , cut into 1/2-inch pieces
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Toss brussels sprouts with salt, pepper, butter and maple syrup.
- Sprinkle pieces of bacon over the top.
- Bake for 25 minutes, stir well.
- Bake for an additional 20-25 minutes until browned and caramelized.
